Buying any type of boat can be a significant investment and with hundreds of systems on todays vessels a professional eye is a must. Protect yourself from buying a money pit or even worse an unsafe non- seaworthy vessel.
Insurance surveys and valuations
Some insurance companies now insist on surveys being carried out at regular periods of a vessels life or after any type of damage or system failure. Insurance surveys and valuations are carried out to the same standard as pre-purchase surveys but can be tailored to the clients requirements.
Mechanical surveys and sea trials
Machinery surveys can be carried out to establish at least some insight into its history and condition. These surveys can be a simple sea trial and engineering check to internal camera examination and oil sampling.
Oil sampling of machinery
I use a very well esablished and reliable oil sampling method and analysing company. Any type of fluid can be sampled including,Engine,Transmission,Generator,Bow/Stern thrusters,fuel and hydraulic systems.
Ultrasound surveys for steel vessels
I use the lastest ultrasound equipment to carry out these surveys and can be tailored to clients requirments. Results are put into easy to read text with no complicated drawings to decipher.
Refit and new build management
I undertake management from small projects to complete refits. I also oversee new vessel builds on behalf of my clients.
